Speaker – Sharon Luckie

Sharon Luckie joined the purchasing department of Hostos Community College/CUNY in November 1973 and worked her way through the ranks to become the Director of Purchasing.  In April 2008 Sharon left Hostos Community College to take the Director of Purchasing position at Bronx Community College which is another CUNY school.  Bronx Community College/CUNY is located in the northwest section of the Bronx on a beautiful 53-acre campus and had an enrollment of 11,000+ students during the fall 2010 semester.

As Director of Purchasing at Bronx Sharon oversees, directs and monitors the daily acquisition of commodities, equipment and services required to keep the campus operational. Sharon chaired the 2009 MWBE + CUNY Make The Connection Conference and is a member of the current MWBE conference committee.

Sharon holds a Bachelors degree in Business Education from Herbert H. Lehman which is a four-year CUNY College located in the Bronx.
