New York, NY- December 9, 2010 – The City University of New York (CUNY) and The City University Construction Fund (CUCF) will co-sponsor the 2011 Minority & Women-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Partners in Success Conference on Friday, January 28, 2011 at Two Court Square Conference Center, 23-14 44th Road, Long Island City, NY. The 2011 CUNY & CUCF+ M/WBE Conference will hold workshops on How to do business with CUNY and CUCF; How to Become M/WBE Certified; Life After MWBE Certification; Green Purchasing; Green Design; and Prime and Subcontracting Opportunities. There will be a Marketplace of 23 CUNY Colleges, CUCF and affiliated programs, resource centers, public agencies, prime contractors in construction and professional organizations, with representatives to provide participants with information on procurement and partnering opportunities. In addition, successful M/WBE business owners will address the audience at the Plenary Session.
The Conference will also offer one-on-one networking sessions with college purchasing offices, CUNY and CUCF representatives.
All M/WBEs from across New York State are encouraged to participate and learn the tools that are necessary to grow your business.
